How it all started
Abba Child Care International was born from a passion to do something for the 148 million orphans we do have worldwide. This passion led us to build our first children-home in India, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. We don't call it an orphanage, because we do not want to emphasize the fact that our children are orphans. Instead we decided to call it 'Abba Children Home', Abba is the Hebrew word for father, and we wanted these fatherless children to experience the love of a father and mother like other children do. It was in September 2010 our home was officially opened and our children moved in. We were very happy for successfully completing our first project. The birth of a vision
However, I wanted to do more. With over 148 million orphans worldwide, I wanted to do something substantial, I wanted to make a difference, I wanted to help them.
So then we launched our charity under the name 'Abba Child Care International'. Our vision was to provide care for 10.000 children worldwide, regardless their, race, religion, education, gender or age. Our dream is to provide them a loving home, food, medical care and education to give them the perspective of a bright future.
Our mission
The way we want to fulfill our vision is twofold: 1. we sponsor the poor and orphan children and 2. where needed we build them a home. To fulfill our vision to care for 10.000 children, we need people who want to adopt a child financially for only € 25,- a month. Sponsoring a child is a continuous thing, however, building them a home is a one time project. So far we have done our first home in Guntur for 100 children and now
